Grouper’s – artist Liz Harris’ – music is transportive: elegiac and haunting like a half-remembered dream upon waking. Filled with hazy overdub and reverb, yet sparse and intimately revelatory, the songs slip through your fingers like water.
Her twelfth album, Shade (released on Friday 22 October), features songs that were recorded over the past fifteen years, including first single ‘Unclean Mind’. Throughout, she threads a hidden radiant language of voice, disquiet, and guitar, framed by open space and the sense of being far away.

Panos Alexiadis is a sound artist based in Athens, Greece mainly working with electronics and magnetic tape. His approach to sound lies between composition and improvisation, all merged in long form built structures of synthetic and acoustic textures, evolving a sense of wandering in an introverted semi – abstract sound environment.

After the unannounced release of their first single, the group was shrouded in mystery while the Dutch scene was demanding for more releases to its likeness.
A shadow play set against a smokescreen decor with vintage synths, creating a grimm atmosphere invoking feelings of emptiness, dystopia that feels peculiarly comfortable.

Incirrina
“emotional melodies that stick in your mind, combined with heavy/strong beats that impel you to dance”
Incirrina is an electronic – minimal synth band based in Athens, Greece, formed by George K.(synthesizers, sampler, drum machine, vocals) and Irini T. (synthesizers,vocals).
Their debut 6-track EP album entitled “8.15” – inspired by the poetry of the great romantic poet of the 18th century William Blake -was released on 9 December 2018 in the electronic platform “Bandcamp”. On 29 October 2019 an LP under the same title “8.15” and including 11 tracks, was released by Geheimnis Records. The album has been listed as one of 2019’s top albums by “Rodon FM” and “Black Room” radios and many of the songs have been selected and included in compilations and playlists such as “White Light/White Heat”, “Blauerosen”,”theboyinstatik”, “Cold Transmission”. On 5 November 2020 they released the digital maxi single “Utter”- including the songs “Dance Of The Dark” and “Shrapnel Words”. Their live performances have been described as having a “totally amazing sound, one can hardly believe that only two musicians produce such a rich sound without the use of pre-recorded music material”, “A unique blend of analogue electronic instrumentation, distinct vocal quality, and band chemistry bring powerful live performances yielding alluring and immersive shadowy atmospheric settings infused with sheer emotional intensity rich in psychological struggle”.

Την Κυριακή 10 Απριλίου 2022, η ξεχωριστή μπάντα Εβρίτικη Ζυγιά επιστρέφει στους συναυλιακούς χώρους, μετά από καιρό, για ένα συναρπαστικό live γεμάτο ενέργεια που θα μας προσφέρει την ευκαιρία να ζήσουμε την απόλυτη ψυχεδελική εμπειρία. Ένα live που αναμφίβολα θα παρασύρει και θα ξεσηκώσει το κοινό, αφού η Εβρίτικη Ζυγιά κατορθώνει, με ένα πολύ ιδιαίτερο προσωπικό ήχο και ύφος, να δημιουργεί μία εντελώς πρωτότυπη εκστατική μουσική.
Το παραδοσιακό σχήμα Εβρίτικη Ζυγιά ξεκίνησε το 2007 παίζοντας σε γλέντια και γιορτές της περιοχής με σκοπό τη διάσωση και την εξέλιξη της θρακικής μουσικής παράδοσης. Αποτελείται από όργανα αρχέγονα βαθιά ριζωμένα στην παράδοση και τη ζωή των ανθρώπων της Θράκης. Η γκάιντα, η θρακιώτικη λύρα, το καβάλι, το νταούλι.
Ο σεβασμός στο ύφος και το ηχόχρωμα που παρέδωσαν οι παλαιότερες γενιές μουσικών παντρεύεται με την ανάγκη για συνεχή δημιουργία και σύγχρονες ενορχηστρώσεις, γεννώντας το αμάλγαμα που προσδιορίζει με ακρίβεια το μουσικό ύφος του συγκροτήματος.
Σε συνεργασία με την Teranga Beat, η εξέλιξη του παραδοσιακού τους ήχου προχώρησε ένα βήμα παραπάνω μέσω διαφορετικών ενορχηστρώσεων από εκείνες στα παραδοσιακά γλέντια. Προσθέτοντας το ηλεκτρονικό όργανο CRB-Diamond 800 και το Moog, δημιουργήθηκε ένας fusion ήχος με μοναδική ταυτότητα, ενισχύοντας ακόμα περισσότερο την ψυχεδέλεια της θρακικής μουσικής. Δίνοντας βάση στις δυναμικές των μουσικών οργάνων και αφήνοντας μεγαλύτερο χώρο στους μουσικούς για αυτοσχεδιασμούς και δημιουργία δικών τους συνθέσεων, γεννήθηκαν τα νέα κομμάτια που παρουσιάζονται για πρώτη φορά στην ηχογράφηση του Ορμένιον.

 

Ο δίσκος ηχογραφήθηκε ζωντανά στο Arkadikon Studio, σε αναλογικό 24κάναλο μπομπινόφωνο Otari MX80 από τον Θεόδωρο Μπουρνά, στις 18 και 19 Μαΐου 2019. Αυτός ήταν ο μόνος τρόπος για να αποτυπωθούν στο δίσκο η ενέργεια και η δύναμη που χαρακτηρίζουν το συγκρότημα στις ζωντανές του εμφανίσεις.

People of the Wind
Οι σαξοφωνίστες Fausto Sierakowski (Γαλλία) και James Wylie (Νέα Ζηλανδία) μαζί με τον Αλέξανδρο Ριζόπουλο στο νταούλι σχημάτισαν το τρίο “People of the Wind”, το 2016 στη Θεσσαλονίκη, για να ερμηνεύσουν τις εκστατικές μελωδίες της Μακεδονίας και των παλαιών βαλκανικών λαϊκών παραδόσεων με κύριο εργαλείο τους το σαξόφωνο. Η απόδοση των μουσικών των Βαλκανίων με ένα δυτικό όργανο όπως το σαξόφωνο είναι μια πρόκληση που έχει στόχο να εμπλουτίσει και να ανανεώσει αυτήν την τόσο ιδιαίτερη μουσική παράδοση

KING OF NEO-DISCO ❯❯ SYNTH WIZARD ❯❯ Η πολύχρωμη και ευφάνταστη ποπ διάθεση του Todd Terje στο Fuzz Club.

 

Ο Σκανδιναβός γκουρού της nu-disco, Todd Terje, έχει κατορθώσει να αναδειχθεί σε έναν από τους σημαντικότερους παραγωγούς / καλλιτέχνες αλλά και σε ένα ασύλληπτα δημιουργικό πνεύμα το οποίο συνδυάζει αριστοτεχνικά την ηλεκτρονική φουτουριστική disco με αναφορές από house, jazz, funk, latin και pop. Ο Νορβηγός βρίσκεται στο χώρο της μουσικής σκηνής αρκετά χρόνια και έχει αφήσει το στίγμα του με μία σειρά από μικρά διαμάντια, όπως «Eurodans», «It’s Album Time» και «It’s The Arps». Η ποιότητα των δημιουργημάτων του είναι αξιοθαύμαστη: παραγωγές και συνεργασίες με καλλιτέχνες όπως Franz Ferdinand, Robbie Williams, Lindstrøm, Prins Thomas και Four Tet,  αλλά και πολλά επιτυχημένα remixes όπως «Another Station» του Lindstrom, «Jolene» της Dolly Parton, «All I do» του Stevie Wonder, «I Can’t Help It» του Michael Jackson, «On The Beach» του Chris Rae και «I Want Your Love» των Chic.

Μεταξύ άλλων, οι διασκευές του σε κομμάτια όπως «Johnny & Mary» του Bryan Ferry, «Inspector Norse» και «Delorean Dynamite», τον αναδεικνύουν σε εξαιρετικό παραγωγό με λαμπρό μέλλον. Ο Todd Terje έχει καταφέρει να «σκαρφαλώσει» στο #23 των βρετανικών charts αλλά και στη λίστα του Pitchfork με τους 100 καλύτερους δίσκους, ενώ η παρουσία του έγινε αισθητή και στην Αμερική όπου έφτασε στο #120 του Billboard. Έχει πραγματοποιήσει εμφανίσεις σε υψηλού κύρους φεστιβάλ, όπως Sónar, Coachella, Lowlands και Pitchfork Festival, ενώ έχει βρεθεί σε πολυάριθμες λίστες του μουσικού διεθνή τύπου, με αποκορύφωμα αυτή του Rolling Stone, που τον κατέταξε στο #17 του «The 25 DJs That Rule the Earth».

CHEVY (GR)
Ο Chevy, κατα κόσμον Βασίλης Σεβδάλης, είναι ένας DJ με έδρα την Αθήνα. Με μια πορεία είκοσι και πλέον ετών, αποτελεί μια από τις πιο σταθερές παρουσίες στην τοπική μουσική κοινότητα. Έχει συνεργαστεί με πάρα πολλούς εγχώριους καλλιτέχνες και έχει εμφανιστεί στο πλάι αρκετών διεθνών καλεσμένων, σε μερικούς από τους πιο αναγνωρίσμους χώρους και φεστιβάλ της χώρας, ενώ έχει τέλος πραγματοποιήσει και κάποιες εμφανίσεις στο εξωτερικό (Κύπρος, Βουλγαρία, Γαλλία). Στις μέρες μας ο ήχος του περιγράφεται ως ηλεκτρονική ντίσκο, house και indie-dance, ενώ συχνά μπορείτε να τον ακούσετε να πραγματοποιεί εκλεκτικά, freestyle σετ από ένα ευρύ μουσικό φάσμα. Deaf Ears Disco Cult (GR)

Deaf Ears Disco Cult is the new project from Christos Aggelopoulos (Mr. Stinson) and Thanasis Besinis (Pene) which focuses on the darker and slower side of the club night. While always paving their separate ways on parallel projects it was the quarantine that brought them together and a pact was formed to explore the late night sonics of the underground. The mission is simple, no cheese – no hits, just the pure essence of getting lost in the dance floor without genre limitations.

Hands and feet linked to his instrument, he merges the electronic with the acoustic to create an impressive and unique live performance that you can’t take your eyes off.
Somewhere between house music and an acoustic performance, this nightlife one-man band pays homage to both the jazz bars and the nightclubs of this world with a whirlwind of energy and irresistible sounds.

Some artists are so in tune with themselves that it’s impossible to escape their charms. That’s the case of Manchester rapper-singer Diana De Brito, aka IAMDDB, who’s been climbing the ranks within urban music since she was featured on BBC Music’s Sound of 2018 list.
Acutely raw and personal across all of her work, De Brito’s sound is like an urban siren song. She calls it urban jazz, but it’s actually a fierce mix of hip-hop, pounding trap and soul with a raspy voice shining in a versatile pantheon of beats and instrumental accents. It’s not hard to imagine why De Brito has critics in turmoil.


Reconnecting and reinventing are two aspects IAMDDB keeps at the core of her creativity. An artist defined by her songs of fierce female empowerment, representation and self-acceptance, Debrito has earned her a reputation as one of the most promising artists on the British urban scene. Her music has garnered over 20 million streams on Spotify and, most recently, she popped up on Forbes’ hugely influential 30 Under 30 – an annual list that recognises the most exciting young talent from Europe. Motorama is a Russian post-punk band heading from Rostov-on-Don. The band was formed in 2005 and received popularity not only in Russia but also abroad, especially in Europe, Latin America and Asia. Since moving from Columbia, South Carolina, to Atlanta, Georgia in 2014, the artist and producer better known as Pi’erre Bourne has completed what seems like a lifetime’s music industry experience. He’s finished an engineering program, created “portable studios” to record artists for some extra cash, interned at Hustle Gang, engineered for Epic Records, quit engineering for Epic Records, become the go-to producer for rising Atlanta rap talent Young Nudy (who happens to be 21 Savage’s cousin), and, most notably, served as the secret sauce to Playboi Carti’s self-titled debut mixtape, producing six of the tape’s 15 tracks, including the monumental hide-it-in-my-sock anthem “Magnolia.” And somehow, in-between all of this and more, he’s recorded and released his own solo projects: three tapes in his The Life Of Pi’erre series on which he demonstrates his melodic deftness, lacing sung bars in and out of his own space-y and sparse, neon-chord blotted production that makes you feel like you’re speeding down the Milky Way.
