Alistair Barrie has been one of the most in-demand headliners on the UK comedy circuit for nearly two decades. He has performed sell out shows in Edinburgh (where he was twice nominated for best show at The Fringe,) Cape Town, Melbourne and New Zealand. As well as performing in over forty countries, Alistair is a regular panellist on BBC Scotland’s award-winning panel show ‘Breaking the News’ and is a frequent contributor to radio and TV stations across the UK.Well known for his intelligent and sometimes scathing takes on current affairs, Alistair was spotted at London’s world-famous Comedy Store in 2015 by Greek comedian Giorgos Xatxipavlou who invited him to Athens for his televised Stand Up for Unicef show later that year. Alistair loved Greece and the Greeks, and returned in 2017 with a solo show about his wife’s cancer treatment, which was a lot funnier than it sounds, and has since toured the country twice with Giorgos.In 2023, Alistair took his hit show ‘Woke in Progress’ out on tour and is delighted to be adding an extra date in Athens.
